Route Challenge ratings

Suitable for anyone who enjoys a reasonably active life. The pace is gentle and the terrain flat to undulating. Distances no more than 30 miles (50km).


Suitable for those with slightly more cycling experience. the terrain can be a little hillier than grade 1.5 and distances up to 45 miles (70km).


For the regular and reasonably fit cyclist. The terrain may include some challenging hills and distances up to 75 miles (110km).


These routes require a good level of fitness and stamina and feature challenging inclines and/or a longer time in the saddle. Distances can be up to 100 miles (160km).

Starting from Manchester United Football Ground at Old Trafford, this invigorating ride will take you along country lanes to the finish on the South Promenade at Blackpool, where you can enjoy a barbecue, live music and well-earned massage (not to mention a well-earned drink in the beer tent!).

MINIMUM AGE 14YRS. All riders under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult over 18.

"I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to yourselves following yesterdays Manchester to Blackpool bike ride. This was the first time I have participated and I loved every minute of it! Coaches will run in the morning to take riders to the Start. We strongly recommend booking your place in advance to guarantee a seat. Please meet 6.00am at South promenade in Blackpool to start loading.
Please note that transport tickets are NON REFUNDABLE.
Getting There: TrainTrains from Blackpool to Manchester will NOT allow bikes on board - we are running coaches and trucks in the afternoon

Morning coaches leave at 6am from Blackpool (FY4 1RW)
Return transport to Manchester after the event at set times until 5.30pm - listen for announcements on the day.

All riders are required to wear a helmet. A selection of helmets will be available for purchase on the day
